Project 3: Real-time Artificial Intelligence for Smart Homes
Project Brief: This project aims to introduce real-time artificial intelligence in smart homes. Such intelligence will allow smart homes to be used as a substitute for human house maid, nurse or caregiver to take care of an expatriate's elderly parents. This is a safety critical project; and therefore, research collaborators from Vietnam, China, India, Bangladesh and USA will be involved actively.

Status: In this project, we developed a shared cache timing predictability assurance technique for real-time systems. The technique is deployed as a replacement policy. Currently, we are trying to adapt this technique to handle different levels of criticality simultaneously in COTS Multicores.
